FEATURED ART

Tara Catalano

As an artist, I thrive on moments in which I can creatively dance in my sacred space connecting the present moment with divine energy. In the midst of my creative moments, I transform into an instrument whose purpose is to express the beauty and positivity of our world.
I fell in love with the plasticity and forgiving characteristics of acrylic paint. Thick applications of paint and the addition of found objects such as recycled jewelry and papers are trademark elements of my work. I use these physical elements as a tool to invite the viewer in and to connect with the many layers of the creative process. Raw brushstrokes, organic shapes and symbols arise from the surface as I paint intuitively without sketches or forced objectives. As a result, my paintings become translations of my inner spirit, emotions, desires, and purpose.
Make it a creative day,
