Good art and good food. Can it get any better?
Actually, I�d have to say that good literature is another close tie. Too I�ve often been impacted by profound writings without considering the source of the words that have affected me. Who are these people? Are their stories a reflection of their own tribulations? What had to have happened to shape the lives of these who have created such works? Where does or did their inspiration come from?
I decided to create these loose-styled paintings as part of my exploration of those who have helped sharpen my thinking while broadening my outlook. In a funny way, their portraits are a product of me being a product of them - even if by the smallest degree. Plus, I just wanted to make something different and fun to look at. Either way I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
